Fall 2025
When EcoFlow approached us to helm the launch of their new Trail Series, we knew this wasn't going to be a studio shoot. The Trail Series represents freedom, rugged durability, and portable power that goes anywhere. To prove it, we had to go there too.
Our mission was to direct and film a comprehensive launch package—including a hero video, three targeted industry cuts, social micro-content, and a full photography suite—that would visually demonstrate the product's capabilities in real-world, unforgiving environments.
The Team: Collaboration at its Finest
Great work is rarely done alone. This project was a massive collaborative success, brought to life by a dream team of creatives.
A huge shoutout to Angel Avalos of Cloud Cap Films and Moss Chasteen Cinematography for their incredible vision and execution. We also owe a debt of gratitude to Sean Huang and Jonathan for facilitating the vital connection with EcoFlow, trusting us to bring this global brand’s vision to life.
Pre-Production: Earning the View
Before cameras rolled, we had to find the perfect backdrop. Authenticity was non-negotiable. We needed terrain that looked as tough as the product.
Our location scout day was an adventure in itself, involving over 6 miles of hiking through the rugged North Carolina wilderness. We scouted varied terrains to ensure we could showcase the Trail Series in diverse scenarios. We weren't just looking for pretty views; we were looking for logistical challenges we could solve on camera.
Production: Two Days of Grit and Glory
The shoot spanned two intense production days. This wasn't a "sit back and relax" set; it was a true run-and-gun operation with a strict timeline.
We mobilized a 20+ person crew, all of whom hiked gear deep into the woods to make the shoot come to life. The logistics of moving high-end cinema cameras, lighting, and the EcoFlow units themselves up mountain trails required military precision and serious cardio.
Battling the Elements:
North Carolina is beautiful, but it can be unpredictable. We faced tough conditions, including a bout of heavy rain that threatened to derail the schedule. But, much like the EcoFlow units we were filming, the crew kept running. We adapted, protected the gear, and used the moody weather to add texture and grit to the final image.
The on-camera talent was nothing short of amazing. Despite the physical demands and the weather, they delivered authentic performances that made the lifestyle aspect of the Trail Series believable.
The Strategy: One Shoot, Multiple Narratives
The challenge of modern production is maximizing assets. We didn't just shoot one video; we crafted a content ecosystem.
The Main Release: A high-energy anthem video introducing the Trail Series to the world.
Industry-Specific Cuts: We simultaneously filmed setups for three distinct user demographics, ensuring EcoFlow had tailored assets for different market segments.
Micro-Content & Photography: While the main unit focused on video, we captured a library of vertical content and high-res photography to fuel social media and web usage for months.
The Result
The final deliverables capture the spirit of adventure that defines EcoFlow. The videos are dynamic, the story is clear, and the product looks indispensable.
This project proved that with the right partners—like Cloud Cap and Moss Chasteen—and a crew willing to go the extra mile (literally), we can produce world-class creative in any environment.
